The Federation of Centers for Migration Studies "G. B. Scalabrini" unites the objectives and works of six centers entirely devoted to deepening the understanding of migration in all its aspects. Distributed in major cities in the world, like New York, Paris, Rome, São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Manila, the centers are in an ideal position to monitor the development of international migration.

All centers are organized in similar departments, dedicated to research, specialized publications - including periodical, monographs and occasional papers - a documentation department, conferences and other educational activities.

FCMS draws inspiration from G. B. Scalabrini, who awoke the interest of public opinion on the vicissitudes of migrants, fought for better legislation on their behalf and left a group of followers who continue his vision through social centers, educational institutes, homes for the aged, formation and spiritual assistance.
